What to know about driving on a spare tire?

Limit your speed, avoid overloading, and keep to short distances. Temporary or compact spare tires are not designed for high speeds. Most manufacturers recommend driving at speeds no greater than 50-55 mph when using a temporary spare.

Speed:
The EZ Spare Wheel uses high-The EZ Spare Wheel uses high-quality tires with a DOT “M” speed rating, meaning they’ve been tested for speeds up to 81 mph. However, we recommend limiting your speed to 50-60 mph using the spare.

How long can you drive on the EZ Spare?

You should drive no more than 50 miles on a temporary or donut spare tire if possible. If you absolutely must go longer, avoid driving more than 70 miles. A spare tire isn’t meant to completely replace a tire but to tide you over until you can properly replace it.

Our Advice:
Treat the EZ Spare Wheel as a temporary solution for emergencies. Drive cautiously and replace your damaged tire as soon as possible.

Does EZ Spare clear my brake calipers?

Our 20-inch spare wheel is designed to accommodate large brake calipers and modern brake systems. It is compatible with AMG, Brembo, or any performance vehicle. Depending on the size of the factory tires, it is suitable for vehicles with 18-inch, 19-inch, 20-inch, 21-inch, and 22-inch wheels. Consumers would be extremely satisfied with this well-designed, safe spare wheel and tire.

Will having the spare tire affect the handling of the vehicle?

All the driving tests we performed on many brands resulted in no significant handling issues. By matching tire sizes to the EZ Spare tire sizes, we confirm that the rolling diameters are within OEM specs and will not cause any adverse reactions to the vehicle drivetrain or ABS system
